After a detailed introduction to our frame tents, we thought it was time to give you more information about Quictent pole tents. The pole tent is not as popular as the frame tent. But it is also common in various outdoor activities, such as weddings, parties, business events, etc. Before going further to introduce you to Quictent's pole tent, let's get to know its basic information.
What is a pole tent?
As the name implies, the tent is supported by poles, which are usually made of metal. They are placed at fixed intervals around the perimeter of the tent as well as in the center.
Pole tents are usually made of heavy-duty waterproof fabric and are designed to provide shelter from the elements, such as rain and wind. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and styles to accommodate different types of events. A distinctive feature of a pole tent is its high canopy roof, which provides an elegant profile.

The difference between pole tents and frame tents
The two types of party tents have different shapes. The pole tent is supported by multiple galvanized steel poles. And in the center of the tent, there will be poles to support the fabric at the top. For this reason, pole tents require more installation space to secure the stakes to the ground.
In terms of installation time, frame tents take longer to install because there are more frame accessories. The pole tent has fewer accessories but is relatively heavier and the installation time is comparable to that of a frame tent.
Also, for the installation location, pole tents cannot be installed on concrete. This will cause wear and tear on the steel poles, and the reinforcement of the tent will become difficult. Soft grass or land is more suitable for installing and reinforcing pole tents.

How to install pole tents
Before you start, we recommend that you prepare your hammer for reinforcement and a cloth to wipe the poles and tent fabric.
The installation process uses the Quictent 20x20 pole tent as an example.
- Step 1. Find a clean floor or lay a large cloth on the ground. After that, lay the roof cover flat on the ground.
- Step 2. Prepare the four sides of the pole around the roof cover and the anchor for fixing, two anchors should form a right angle between them.
- Step 3. Use a hammer to drive the anchors into the ground, leaving a distance of six inches on the ground.
- Step 4. Insert the rod pins into the metal D-rings at the four corners of the roof cover and the locking ring of each measuring pole. Tie a tether through each pole tip and then the other end to the anchor, making sure all poles are secure.
- Step 5. Install the center pole in the same manner, being careful not to puncture the roof cover. Afterward, secure the top of the center pole with a buckle bolt. Then proceed to install the other 4 poles.
- Step 6. Attach the sidewalls by hooking the metal clips to attach the sidewalls to the inner eaves of the roof cover. At each corner of the sidewall connection, you need to secure the sidewall by tying a knot.
Since pole tents are also temporary shelters, they should not be used in inclement weather. The tent should be dismantled for any potential inclement weather, such as high winds, heavy rain, and blizzards.
